So, this post is really late, but last week, since we had Monday off of school, my sister Julianne and her kids came over last Sunday to spend the night and stay most of the day Monday.
Emily had a lot of fun with me playing DDR as always. Emily also wrote her first short story! She even typed it all by herself!
Sadie made some paper snowflakes that Dad has hung in the window. She and Kate were having fun playing with the air matresses in the morning after they didn't need them anymore. We made a little house out of the three the girls had slept on, but then it collapsed and Sadie and Kate played around on them for a while. But when Sadie tried to move one over by the stairs and knocked down a lamp, I tried to calm things down a bit. After that, I remembered how I would always love to make hideouts on the stairs with blankets when I was little. This gave me an idea. I set up the air matresses around the stairs, making a fort/hideout thing. Sadie especially loved it, and we called it Fort Fun. Once it was made, Emily Sadie and I pretended that we were bunnies hiding from hunters.
I was able to make Jacob laugh hysterically, which is a big step up for me. I remembered getting Shelby to laugh a lot when she was younger by playing peek-a-boo. Not just, cover your eyes kind, the special Laura kind of peek-a-boo. You have to physically hide all of you somewhere (obviously making sure you have their attention so they realize you're gone) and pop out a few seconds later. Sometimes varying where you pop out helps. I got Jakers laughing a ton. It was fun.
Last Sunday before the Poulsens came, I also got a ton more music on my ipod because I finally figured it out! I am probably going to buy the David Archuleta CD from itunes soon.
Sorry I don't have any pictures of when the Poulsens came over, but if you want to see any, just look at Juli's blog under the post "Chillaxing".
I know I've said a TON about "Mist" nonstop, but I am sooooooooooooo excited. I officially have 47,442 words and 46 chapters. I have 4 more Chapters to go until I can start editing! I am WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY excited! I'm going to start sending it around for editing soon, so if you want to help edit it, just email me!
Oh, and pray for Dad so that he can get better! He's been sick lately.
Love you guys!
