Writing is Amazing!

Even though I can't finish my novel before tommorow, I'm still going to work on it. I'll be able to get a lot more done once Science Fair is over. So far, I have 14,547 words. I have just started Chapter Eleven. Yay!!!
Something else wonderful happened last night, too! For school, there is a sight called Go My Access that you sometimes do writing assignments on. For English, we had to write a story about going back in time in a time machine. Instantly after you turn in the paper (you can do this multiple times for revised drafts btw), it gives you a score for each of the six traits of writing. 4 is proficient, 5 five is advanced proficient and 6 is the best score. Earlier in the year when we had to write about the happiest time in our life, I struggled through multiple drafts trying to get all fours. I eventually got 5 4's and a 3.9. But this proves that I really have a thing for fantasy. When I turned in my first draft last night, I got 2 6's, and the rest were above 5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy!!!!!!!!!! And it was only a rough draft!!!!! I love writing!!!!!!

Tag

I don't know if I was actually tagged and had to do this or not, but it looked fun! My brother Daniel and sister-in-law Stephanie did it. You go to your pictures, click on the fourth folder and then the fourth picture. Then you post it! I sort of bent the rules for mine because otherwise it would have been a boring personless picture from Iraq.
In this picture, I am doing a third-grade project on a product for selling. I did Dazzling Dusters, little dusting thingys. So yeah, that's the picture.

A Not So Boring After A While Thanksgiving

Due to the fact that my mom had to work on Thanksgiving, my family and I already had our Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday while we watched the football game. So yesterday, we didn't really have anything to do. I couldn't think of anything to do with my dad that would entertain the both of us while Mom was gone, so I prettymuch stayed upstairs the whole morning and afternoon watching tv and checking my email. I didn't want to call my friends because they were most likely busy anyway. I got sooooo bored that I recorded myself talking to the computer for about twenty minutes. It's actually pretty fun. You can spill your guts to it.
Thankfully, around 5:00, my sister Michele and her daughter Shelby came and saved me from my torment. Michele did stuff on the computer downstairs while Shelby watched Dora. I started working on a fort for the two of us, very entertaining to do it for her than just to entertain myself. It actually ended up being a massively long tunnel thing covered with blankets! There was even a room at the end that had the pillows from the couch to relax on! It was so much fun, and it had a lot of room to crawl in! Here are some pics! Sorry, a few are blurry.

After we had had fun playing around in it, I felt like I wanted to do something else. I tried to think of something interesting. Then I remembered something in a magazine about using old cereal boxes and using them to build rooms and stuff like that. I took the cereal boxes we had in the cold storage and was going to make a room, except we didn't have nearly enough to do that. So instead, I made statues!

I was sad when Michele and Shelby left, but when my mom got home, we watched Home Alone on TV since I'd never seen it before. There was another show on at 9:00 on the same channel, and my mom wanted to either watch that or Pride and Prejudice. Can you believe that?! My mom wanting to start a two hour movie at 9 pm?! It was like a dream come true! So we watched Pride and Prejudice. It's such a great show! I love it! Even Code-Red, Doc G. and Professor Tall should watch it some time in their life, or at least know the story.
I know, I know, I should work on one thing at a time, but I couldn't help it! I got inspiration. It's sort of a cheesy love story/science fictiony yet not science fictiony. I'll tell you about it some time. Here is a cartoon version of the main character. I'm not the best with bodies, but I think my head and faces have improved. I've started doing the whole circle, lines detailed thing. But I don't know what to name her! I need some ideas!

So that's what's been going on. Leave some comments!! Love ya!

End Of November

November is coming to an end, and that means that my fun with Nanowrimo will be done for the year. And the sad thing is, I desperately need to get working. Other things have been getting in the way lately, and earlier I was just plain lazy. I'm gonna need a lot of encouragement to finish my book before the end of November. I so far have about 13,000 words and I need 50,000. It's not that I don't have enough information to fit into the story, it's more that I don't have enough time to write a novel in a month while going to school. But even if I don't make it in time, I am going to finish this book. I don't think I could have even gotten this far in one of my books without the help of Nanowrimo sight. At least now I'm a lot better off. Sometime soon, or maybe once I edit it, I'll send you some of my story!
Love you guys!

NaNoWriMo

I've talked a little bit about this on the blog, but not in detail. Sorry about this to friends I've bugged about this a million times! But Nanowrimo stands for National Novel Writing Month, which is in November. There is a sight where you can sign up to write a novel with an account. If you're an adult, you have to write 50,000 words. If you are a young adult, you can set your word count goal. You don't have to worry about editing it, that's what December's for!!!!! Here's the link if you want to check it out: www.ywp.nanowrimo.org A PS for friends, even though I've probably said this over and over: Dom's username is codeblue and mine is writerintraining! Karlee and Trevor need to make their accounts soon! If Trevor even does it, I know Karlee is! Why won't Tanner do it? Well, anyway, this would be kindof a short post if I don't add some more stuff, so I'll talk about my story I told you about. That's what I'm doing for Nanowrimo. I was thinking of having it be a trilogy, I've got all 3 stories worked out! But then I had a coolio idea of making the trilogy 3 or 4 trilogies in the Magics Files! I know, it sounds REALLY crazy! But I can't tell you why I'm doing it! It would ruin the secret that's revealed in the 2nd Trilogy!!!! But anyway, yeah. Oh by the way, to siblings: Names for your kids that you can not steal that will be main characters in the Magics Files are- Simon, Larissa, Brock, Meg, Sean, Niena (don't think you'll be using that one!), Chase, Elana, Kyle, Max, Sam for a boy or girl (even though the character's a girl), Jenna, Madelyn, Leo, and Cassandra. Normally I wouldn't mind, but if you named your kids one of these, then I'd have to name characters after my other nieces and nephews. And seeing as I'll have 10 next year, and it will keep going, that could be a bit crazy! Maybe I'll name characters after them when I'm an adult and they've mostly come.
And that's about it! Seeya and Love you all!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've Been Tagged!

I've been tagged by my sister-in-law Laura Beth to put myself in the spotlight. So here it goes!

Nicole is simply the feminine version of Nicholas.

You and a friend each make and describe what your character looks like. If they're something magical or have a power, don't tell, but leave evidence as each of you take turns telling the story from your character's point of view. Secrets are revealed and it helps add extra emotion and events to your story. Try it! It works best over email.)

What makes me sad: Roadkill, science fair, friends arguments, no young womens

So there's a little something about me. I think all the fam has done this now, so Code-Red! Tag!!! Tell us about yourself!

TOO LONG!

Okay, it's been WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY too long since I've posted. So here I am. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, what is there to talk about? Oh! November is National Write a Novel Month! At my school, they have advertisements for this one site. I checked it. If you are a young adult or an adult, you can sign up to write a novel, but it has to be done by midnight November 30. I'm not sure I'm old enough to qualify, but I have been writing a story! Since there's nothing else to talk about, I could tell you about it.
There is a 13-year-old guy named Simon Black who meets this other girl from one of his classes. Her name is Larissa Lane. Larissa is a keeper, which means one of her parents was magical and one was human. She can see magic things, instead of having herself unwillingly warp the magic things she sees into something else, like humans. She discovers Simon can see magic things too, when she has a dragon egg at school. (PS- magical people on Earth are called the Magics) Deciding to show him magic, she takes him to see a 12-year-old named Brock Simmons. Brock is a mysterious character because his skin is pale white, he has white hair, and grey eyes. He was a victim of the Dark Mist (explained later), and he is one of the few wizards left who knows the lost arts of Magic. Fate/Fortune, and a couple of other things (not sure yet, but they will be things I have made up). Because of Simon's last name, Brock's prediction and the evidence of the magic Simon sometimes accidentally does, the two find out he is the current Mist Holder of Light (here's where that one part is explained). The Mist is a flowing gas-like substance that only the two current Mist-Holders (one light, one Dark) can control. It is the most powerful thing to posses as a Magic. Since Simon's father was the previous Mist-Holder of Light, Simon is now. His parents died when he was two, and he had to live with his mother's step sister (a keeper). He never knew about his powers until Larissa came along, so the Dark has been slowly taking more power. (okay, starting something a little new...) There are four Royalties (aka kings and queens) over the magics at a time. When they become a royalty, they will each get one of the four elements (earth, water, fire, sky) along with a certain jewel that will come to them when they are no longer just heirs. There are no Royalties at the time because the Dark have killed the other royalties, and 3 out of the 4 heirs are unknown, even though they have the jewels. The other one is Meg Jessings, earth powers, 12, who is imprisoned by the Dark at the time. Since the Mist-Holder is the most powerful ruler, right above the royalties, Simon, Larissa, and Brock have to go and rescue Meg and find the other 3 royalties before the Dark can take over the Light, and maybe even the world...

Yep, that's my story! Love you all!!!!!!!!!
